About me

Welcome to http://FamilyStaples.com

Allow me to tell you a little bit about myself.  I am the father of five (yes, 5) wonderful children (four boys and one girl) who range in age from 8 to 26.  So, two of my children have already left the nest.  Fortunately, I still have a few years left with my daughter and my younger two sons.  It’s amazing to me how the years have flown.  As any of you who are parents know, the parenting years can be very busy with work/career, school, driving kids to and from activities and just the general day-to-day hectic schedules that we all have.  If we’re not careful, those precious years can slip away before we even realize it.

I’m thankful for every moment that I’ve spent  (and continue to spend) with my children engaging with them and making positive, permanent memories.  I regret the times when I was too busy to spend quality time with them.  I want to encourage you to make deliberate effort to schedule regular time to enjoy the company of your children and engage them in ways that will build happy memories to last a lifetime — both you and your children will reap such wonderful benefits.

The purpose of this site, FamilyStaples.com, is to provide you with ideas for how to plan fun family times and to engage children of all ages.  Building warm memories as a family is one of the best investments you can make.  There is significant truth in the old adage that “the family that plays together, stays together”.

I also look forward to hearing from visitors to this site:  I welcome your comments and ideas.

Best Regards

Thank you for your comment. You’re absolutely right…if we can teach our kids healthy eating habits when they’re young it will serve them well throughout their entire lives.
